This Return, Preorder & Shipping Policy applies to purchases made through www.randicooleywilson.com, Randi Cooley Wilson Books, and Harbor Haven Publishing.

Throughout this Policy, the words “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Harbor Haven Publishing, Randi Cooley Wilson Books, Randi Cooley Wilson, and their authorized representatives. The words “you” and “your” refer to customers, purchasers, visitors, and users of this website.

By placing an order through this website, you agree to this Policy, our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any product-specific terms listed on the applicable product page.

1. General Order Policy

Please review all product descriptions, formats, preorder notes, shipping information, pricing, and content guidance before placing an order.

We sell books, signed books, unsigned books, preorder titles, bundles, limited editions, special editions, merchandise, digital products, and related reader items.

Product availability, pricing, release dates, shipping windows, cover images, mockups, formats, and product details are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, cancel, or modify any order for reasons including, but not limited to, inventory errors, pricing errors, payment issues, suspected fraud, incorrect shipping information, unauthorized resale activity, or attempts to bypass quantity limits.

2. Processing Times

Processing time is separate from shipping transit time.

In-stock items usually ship within 7 to 14 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Signed books, personalized items, bundles, limited editions, special editions, and high-volume release orders may require additional processing time.

During new releases, holidays, sales, preorder fulfillment periods, author events, or unexpected delays, processing times may be longer.

3. Preorders

Some products are preorder items and will not ship until the stated release date or estimated fulfillment window.

We will not list a preorder or estimated shipping window unless we have a reasonable basis for the stated release date or fulfillment estimate at the time the product is offered.

If an order contains both in-stock items and preorder items, the full order may ship together once the preorder item is available unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Release dates, production dates, printer timelines, fulfillment windows, and shipping estimates may change due to publisher schedules, printer delays, supply chain issues, author availability, carrier delays, platform issues, or circumstances outside our control.

If a preorder shipment is delayed beyond the stated timeframe, we will provide an update and, where required by law, offer the option to consent to the delay or cancel the unshipped item for a refund. The FTC requires sellers who take orders by internet to have a reasonable basis for advertised shipping timelines and, if they cannot ship within the promised time, to obtain the buyer’s consent to the delay or refund the unshipped merchandise.

Customers are responsible for reviewing preorder language before purchasing.

4. Signed and Personalized Items

Signed books, personalized books, signed bookplates, custom items, limited editions, and special editions may require additional processing time.

Personalization requests must be entered correctly at checkout. We are not responsible for customer-submitted spelling errors, incorrect names, incomplete instructions, or missing personalization information.

We reserve the right to refuse personalization requests that contain offensive, abusive, unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, explicit, harassing, or inappropriate language.

Unless otherwise stated, signed, personalized, limited-edition, special-edition, custom, preorder, and digital products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged except where required by law or if the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.

5. Shipping Methods

Shipping options, rates, and available carriers will be shown at checkout.

Orders may ship through USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or another available carrier, depending on product type, order size, destination, and available shipping services.

Shipping times shown at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.

Once an order is handed to the shipping carrier, carrier transit times, delivery scans, and delivery dates are outside our direct control.

6. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated or displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Shipping charges may include postage, packaging materials, handling, platform fees, carrier costs, and fulfillment expenses.

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the refund is due to our error.

If an order is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, refusal, failure to claim, or customer error, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping charges before the order is resent.

7. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

We are not responsible for orders delayed, returned, misdelivered, or lost due to incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable addresses entered by the customer.

We cannot guarantee that address changes can be made after an order has been placed, processed, packed, or shipped.

8. Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

We are not responsible for delays caused by USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, customs processing, weather, labor disruptions, supply chain issues, carrier delays, incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, platform errors, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If tracking shows that a package was delivered, we are not responsible for stolen, missing, or misplaced packages after delivery confirmation.

If your package is marked delivered but you cannot locate it, please check with household members, neighbors, mailrooms, building management, local carrier offices, and the shipping carrier.

We may assist with available tracking information, but replacement or refund decisions are made at our discretion and as required by applicable law.

9. Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Missing Items

  • a description of the issue;

  • photos of the damaged or incorrect item;

  • photos of the packaging;

  • photos of the shipping label, if available.

We will review the request and may offer a replacement, refund, store credit, or other resolution at our discretion and as required by applicable law.

Please do not discard damaged items or packaging until your claim has been reviewed.

10. Returns and Exchanges

Due to the nature of books, signed items, personalized items, preorder items, limited editions, special editions, custom products, merchandise, and digital products, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for buyer’s remorse, duplicate purchases, incorrect format selection, customer-submitted personalization errors, failure to review product descriptions, failure to review preorder terms, failure to review shipping timelines, failure to review content guidance, minor cosmetic variations in printing, color, trim, finish, or mockup appearance, or carrier delays after shipment.

Exceptions: We will review requests involving damaged, defective, incorrect, missing, or unfulfilled items, or any situation where a return, replacement, cancellation, or refund is required by applicable law.

If an exception applies, we may offer, at our discretion and as required by law, a replacement, repair, store credit, refund, or other appropriate resolution.

If a return is approved, the item must be returned in unused, unread, undamaged, and resaleable condition unless the return involves a damaged, defective, or incorrect item.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the return is due to our error.

11. Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method when possible.

Refund timing may vary depending on your bank, card issuer, payment processor, or ecommerce platform.

Shipping fees, handling fees, digital products, signed items, personalized items, preorder items, limited editions, special editions, and custom items are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the refund is due to our error.

12. Digital Products

Digital products, including ebooks, PDFs, bonus scenes, wallpapers, maps, reader guides, downloads, and digital extras, are final sale.

Digital products cannot be returned, refunded, exchanged, copied, resold, shared, uploaded, distributed, or transferred.

13. International Shipping

International shipping may not be available for all products or destinations.

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, tariffs, carrier fees, or other charges imposed by their country or local authorities.

We are not responsible for customs delays, customs refusals, import restrictions, or additional fees required by international authorities.

If an international package is returned due to refusal, customs issues, unpaid duties, incorrect address, or failure to claim, the customer may be responsible for original shipping charges, return shipping charges, and any additional reshipping costs.

14. Order Cancellations

We may be able to cancel an order if it has not yet been processed, personalized, packed, fulfilled, or shipped.

15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to cancel pending orders, restrict future purchases, disable account access, or refuse future service to the fullest extent permitted by law.
